Community Mainstreaming Associates (CMA) is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. DSPs provide care, help with daily tasks, and promote community involvement within a supportive team.

We offer full-time and part-time positions across locations in Port Washington, Dix Hills, Kings Point, Malverne, NY. Benefits include medical plans, retirement options, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to follow individualized service plans.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, meals, and household tasks as needed.
• Encourage independence and daily decision making.
• Support community participation, appointments, and activities.
• Follow individualized service plans and help achieve personal goals.
• Promote dignity, respect, inclusion, and self-advocacy.
• Assist with medication administration as trained.
• Maintain daily notes and required records.
• Communicate with supervisors, families, and the support team.
• Follow agency policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Respond to emergencies and report concerns.
