Job summary

Community Mentorship in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide day-to-day support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings. You will help with personal care, daily living skills, meal preparation, transportation, and recreation, while promoting independence, safety, and self-advocacy and documenting services.

Qualifications

• Requires background in human services and experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building professional relationships.
• Willingness to participate in training on person-centered practices, safety, and behavioral supports.
• Ability to work in a team and follow individualized support plans.
• Reliable in maintaining documentation, schedules, and regulatory compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in human services is a plus.
• Experience in direct support, caregiving, or community-based support preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation availability if needed.
