RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional for 1st shift in Hendersonville, NC. The DSP helps individuals with disabilities engage in the community and reach personal goals with compassionate, person-centered support.

The role involves teaching independence, assisting with daily living tasks, providing transportation, and maintaining documentation. Pay is $18.50 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus; schedule is 7am-3pm with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass pre-employment screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a person-centered approach.
• Ability to support independence and community integration.
• Knowledge of disability rights and safety/regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals' rights and promote health and safety.
• Support self-advocacy and assist with community engagement.
• Assist with daily living and transportation to appointments and activities.
• Provide personal care tasks and document services accurately.
• Support decision-making about living arrangements and employment.
