Job summary

UCP Central PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Harrisburg to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in daily activities and community outings. This entry-level role provides training and opportunities to gain certifications while supporting individualized plans.

You will work full-time on day schedules, require a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, and communicate effectively in English. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with training provided.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and 6 months driving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Encourage independence and daily living skills.
• Provide support with personal care and hygiene.
• Build relationships through effective communication.
• Follow individualized support plans and document progress.
• Assist with adaptive equipment and skill-building activities.
• Help plan social and community activities with the team.
