Job summary

Dungarvin in Minnesota is hiring a direct support professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living and community participation.

You will help with activities of daily living, transportation, goals in ISPs, and document progress in a compliant system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including behavioral support needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, shopping, budgeting, appointments, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in ISPs and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation per program and regulatory requirements.
