Job summary

Ohel Children's Home and Family Services is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities living in Brooklyn. Full time and part time positions are available for afternoon, evening and overnight shifts, with substitute roles also offered.

Benefits include a 403B retirement plan, paid time off and health insurance for full-time employees. Salary: $18.05-18.30 per hour

Qualifications

• Motivated candidate with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to relate to individuals promoting meaningful outcomes
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to speak and write English
• Valid NY or NJ driver's license for some positions

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with their activities of daily living
• Accompanying individuals to medical appointments
• Assisting with preparing and serving meals
• Providing companionship while engaging in productive activities which help to foster independence and community engagement
