Community Options, Inc. in Frederick, MD is hiring PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides to deliver person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

No experience is required as paid training is provided, starting at $18.00 per hour. You will support daily activities, monitor health needs, guide development of community skills, and accompany clients to appointments and community events, with thorough

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and stay calm in crisis situations.
• Employment is contingent upon successful background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding and hygiene.
• Monitor health and report concerns promptly.
• Help develop independent and community-based skills.
• Participate in community, social and recreational activities.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, businesses and families.
• Support additional tasks as needed.
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections or inquiries.
