Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Durham, NC location. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health/substance use challenges, helping implement centered plans and promote meaningful outcomes.

Training in CPR and safety is provided as part of the role. Join a team focused on compassionate care in an ICf Home setting with opportunities across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 70 lbs, squatting, kneeling, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health and safety procedures and develop the person-supported plan.
• Provide support for individuals in the community and promote person-centered outcomes.
• Assist with data collection and reporting and support team members and supervisors.

Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Relies on direction and supervision to accomplish the job. We are hiring Direct Support Professionals for our ICF Homes – Durham, NC Salary: $15.00/hourly Schedule: All Shifts

Position Requirements

• At least 18 years of age Valid drivers’ license High School Diploma Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included: Regularly required to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
