Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We are seeking qualified and caring people to work as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at our group homes located in Monmouth County (Farmingdale, Tinton Falls, and Wall Township, NJ). Professional experience working with developmentally disabled populations, experience as a CNA, home health aide, or caregiver can all qualify as relevant experience. Pay rates are determined based on that experience, starting at $20.75.

No experience is required; you will attend paid training to obtain required certifications. Successful applicants will receive paid training and will learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities
• Create a supportive and clean home environment
• Support skill acquisition and enhancement as outlined in individual service plans (ISPs)
• Assist with daily living tasks and ensure cleanliness and organization
• Administer medications and follow healthcare protocols under nurse supervision
• Document client progress and goals
• Engage individuals in age-appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities
• Safely transport individuals as needed
• Work independently or with co-workers to enhance the growth of individuals served
• Participate in ongoing professional training
