PALS Carpinteria, a residential facility in Carpinteria, CA, seeks a compassionate Part-Time Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with Autism in daily living, community involvement, and skill-building. You will help clients live more independently with person-centered care.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, supporting personal care, coordinating activities, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
• Must pass background check, health screening, and possess a valid driver’s license.

About the Role

PALS Carpinteria is a 4-bed home for adults with Autism. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs support clients in daily living activities, community involvement, and personal growth, promoting independence and dignity in all aspects of life. This role involves direct care, advocacy, and skill-building in a respectful and person-centered manner.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will help individuals live more independently and participate actively in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in community integration, recreational activities, and social engagement.
• Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents accurately and timely.

Shift & Schedule:

• Afternoon Shift: Saturday & Sunday 2PM to 10PM
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• On call as needed
• Work performed in residential settings
