Job summary

PALS Carpinteria is a residential facility for adults with Autism seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP). This part-time overnight weekend role supports independence, daily living activities, and community engagement in a 4-bed home.

You will document progress, collaborate with families and the team, and help clients achieve personal goals while upholding dignity and safety. A HS diploma or GED is required, with background checks and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist individuals as needed.
• Background check, health screening, and valid driver’s license required.

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as dressing and toileting.
• Support clients in household tasks including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed.

About the Role

PALS Carpinteria is a 4-bed home for adults with Autism. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs support clients in daily living activities, community involvement, and personal growth, promoting independence and dignity in all aspects of life. This role involves direct care, advocacy, and skill-building in a respectful and person-centered manner.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Overnight Weekend Direct Support Professional (DSP)to join our team in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will help individuals live more independently and participate actively in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in community integration, recreational activities, and social engagement.
• Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents accurately and timely.
• Encourage and support individuals in achieving personal goals and independence.

• Overnight Shift: Saturday & Sunday 10PM to 6AM
• Weekend and holiday availability required
