Job summary

Almost Family - The Dalles in Hermiston area is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and support personal goals in a safe, supportive environment.

Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights; paid training is provided. We offer competitive pay of $22-$24 per hour DOE, plus a Hiring Bonus, Referral Bonus, PTO, Health Insurance, 24/7 on-call

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Able to pass a background check.
• 1+ years experience providing support for an I/DD individual and/or family member.
• Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide help with activities of daily living (ADLs) including physical and emotional support, healthcare recommendations, behavioral interventions, and communication support.
• Provide transportation for appointments and daily activities.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and foster positive self-esteem.
• Provide assistance with general housekeeping and home management.
