Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Cincinnati, OH and surrounding areas. No experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, including CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications.

As a DSP, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them gain independence while ensuring health and safety. A vehicle, valid Ohio license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Own a valid (Ohio) driver's license and car insurance
• Reliable vehicle to transport individuals served
• Fewer than 6 points on driving record in last 2 years
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and to kneel, crouch, and balance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety at all times
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
• Provide personal care assistance

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.
