Hands of Heartland, Inc. in Norfolk, Nebraska, is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

Starting pay is $18 per hour, with higher rates for experience or CNA credentials, and opportunities for weekend and PRN shifts. As a DSP you will help with day-to-day living activities, document progress, and encourage personal growth in a compassionate, patient team environment.

Competenze

• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be willing to drive to neighboring communities.

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver in Norfolk, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.

Hours:

• Full-time hours available.
• Days and Evenings available with every other weekend required.
• We are also in need of PRN weekends.

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Personality Traits: Empathy. Patience. Understanding. Compassion. Adaptable. Respectful. Dependable. Sound Judgement.
