Job summary

Alora Supports is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Omaha, Nebraska for a part-time role. You will provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence and community involvement.

Join a team-driven environment with a focus on meaningful relationships, consistency, and trust. Prior experience with IDD is preferred, and the role includes lifting/mobility assistance as needed and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.
• Ability to lift/move/transfer individuals with mobility impairments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to individuals with IDD to promote independence and personal growth.
• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with individuals, their families, and service providers.
• Assist with daily living skills including personal care, meal prep, and household tasks.
• Encourage socialization, community involvement, and access to resources.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided.
