Job summary

Abound Health in Jefferson, NC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently in a compassionate, reliable environment.

We offer flexible schedules (full-time and part-time), weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $16.00-19.00-/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus –(Paid through the year--Must work 20 hours per week to qualify.)

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $16.00-19.00-/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
