Job summary

The Vocational Training Center (VTC) of Fargo, ND is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Family Support Services. This part-time role provides active support in family homes and communities, including health maintenance, medication administration, personal cares, behavior management, and life skills development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current driver's license.
• Preferred: previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Accompany individuals to community and social events.
• Assist individuals with personal care responsibilities, administer medications and provide transportation based on individual needs.
• Supervising, teaching independent skills, and providing guidance to children and adults with disabilities and mental illness in a variety of home, community, and social settings.
• Documenting individual information as required by the Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Maintaining flexibility and composure while working alone or in a team environment.
• Completing the competency-based modules as dictated by the North Dakota Department of Human Service, Developmental Disabilities Division.
