Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Wilmington and surrounding areas. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $16.00–$17.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. We offer flexible schedules, paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience with disabilities is not required—paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
