Avancer Homes LLC seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for the Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. The position offers full-time and part-time options with a starting pay up to $16.00–$26.00 per hour based on experience and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

DSPs provide personal assistance to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, promoting independence and a safe home environment across Avancer Homes’ sixteen residential settings in Ogle and DeKalb counties.

Qualifications

• DSP certification or ability to become certified via paid training.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to shifts and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Assist individuals with personal care needs (ADLs).
• Help with household tasks, meal prep, cooking and cleaning.
• Monitor individuals and provide redirection as needed.
• Document activities, concerns and progress notes.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)Requirements

• DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training
• At least 18 years of age
• Transportation to your shifts
• Lift 50 lbs
• Pass a criminal background check

Direct Support Professional (DSP)Duties

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s
• Assisting with all household task, meal preparation cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourage learning.
• Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
• Document individual’s activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
