Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals DSPs to assist individuals with IDD in Clifton, NJ. You will help with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, while promoting independence and growth.

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals DSPs to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities IDD As a DSP you will assist with activities of daily living ADLs community participation and behavioral support while helping clients live independently If you are compassionate reliable and looking for meaningful work where you can make a real difference we would love to meet you

What Youll Do

As a DSP you will provide hands on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience you will genuinely make a difference in somebodys life

Responsibilities will include

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation employment and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members families and external parties case managers etc as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid drivers license current automotive insurance and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal record driving record and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay 23hour for non acuity; 33hour for acuity 1000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20 hoursweek
