Job summary

Dungarvin in Indiana is seeking a Direct Support Professional / Caregiver to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible. You will provide hands-on support, positive direction, and help with daily living tasks in a compassionate, respectful manner.

The role offers multiple shifts and a starting wage of $15.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and paid training. A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required due to transporting persons served.
• Background clearance is part of onboarding.
• Computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.

This position would work out of locations in both Muncie, IN and New Castle, IN

The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
