Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently with dignity. You will assist with daily living tasks, document care plans, and help foster a respectful, collaborative environment in a mission-driven team.

This role offers multiple shifts with the potential for growth and development, plus paid training, and benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required due to transporting persons served.
• Background clearance required as part of onboarding/employment process.
• Good reading, writing, and communication skills for documenting care and following support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties

  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
