Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, and help individuals achieve ISPs in a respectful, supportive home and community setting.

This role offers a fixed starting rate of $18.50/hr, varied schedules, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and access to benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401(k) with employer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Valid driversapace license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and ADLs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal prep, budgeting, appointments and community activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Promote independence and life-skills development
• Support ISPs and document progress
• Observe and communicate changes to supervisors and team
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities as needed
• Complete accurate electronic documentation on time

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishWillingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
