Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Boone to provide compassionate care and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You’ll assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live more independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Adhere to flexible schedules (full-time and part-time).

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - $16.00-18.00-/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus-(Paid throughout the Year/ Must Avg 20 hours a week to qualify for Bonus.)

As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $16.00-18.00-/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
