As a Residential Skills Instructor or Awake Overnight staff, you provide essential support and companionship to individuals who need help with daily activities in a residential home.

Monday - Thursday 11:00pm - 9:00am
- Part Time Schedules: 25+ hours per week
Saturday 3:00pm - 9:00pm, Sunday 9:00am - 9:00pm, Tuesday 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Wednesday 3:00pm - 9:00pm
- Part Time less than 25 hours per week
Sunday 9am-11pm
This position is benefit eligible as of date of hire.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $21.00. These are non-exempt full-time/part-time positions. You will be a union member to SEIU Local 509.
Group Home Details
As a Residential Skills Instructor or Awake Overnight staff, you will be assisting 4 individuals ages 22 and up with activities of daily living (ADL) such as feeding, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene assistance, documentation, and medication administration. You will use a wheelchair van to transport individuals to appointments and community activities. During overnight hours, you will conduct routine wellness checks and provide personal care support, including toileting assistance and brief changes as needed.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene assistance (toileting, brief changing), bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, transferring, and meal preparation.
- Able and willing to assist with heavy lifting and drive wheelchair accessible company vans, transporting individuals to appointments, community events, or recreational activities.
- Complete Individual Support Plans (ISP) to support individuals in achieving personal goals and promoting independence.
- Complete daily logs and notes, track behavioral data.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation, as required.
- Provide companionship, mentorship, and redirecting behaviors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential program.
- Uphold individual’s rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain the program’s staff-to-resident ratio, manage money, provide home management, and redirect behaviors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Experience providing training, case management, and appropriate service delivery to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the community.
- MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification; training offered by Waystone within 6 months of employment.
- CPR/First Aid; training offered by Waystone within 3 months of employment.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing with a minimum of one year of driving experience.
