Job summary

Open Arms Care seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cleveland, TN. This full-time role covers 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.

to 8:00 a.m. with a 6-on/6-off schedule and paid orientation. You will provide hands-on support for daily living, transport clients to appointments and events, mentor and advocate for independence, and maintain safe, respectful home environments.

Qualifications

• Compassion and reliability.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR (within 30 days) & PCM certification (within 60 days) – training provided.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on support, such as helping with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility needs - always with dignity and respect.

• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community events.
• Engage clients in fun and meaningful activities within the home and in the community.
