Responsibilities
While no two days are exactly the same, here are some things you will be responsible for:
- Performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
- Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
- Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
- Encouraging self-help activities
- Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external

Additional Job Information
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working with individuals who have challenging behaviors up to but are not limited to physical or verbal aggression, property destruction, manipulation, inaccurate reporting, elopement, paranoia, substance abuse, isolation, and/or self-injury.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working with mental health conditions (e.g. bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, ADHD, eating disorder, disruptive disorders, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, antisocial personality disorder, etc.).
- Experience with therapeutic interventions/EUMR, and de-escalation techniques.
- Will be working with one individual in a 1:1 type/modified setting.
