Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Minnesota to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, promoting independence and community involvement. You’ll provide compassionate support, help with personal cares, document progress, and collaborate with a team to implement ISPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their ISPs and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
