Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate daily assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You’ll help with meals, personal care, transportation, and accompanying clients on community outings, supporting independence and dignity. We offer full and part-time options, day/evening/overnight shifts, paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene.
• Take individuals on community outings to appointments or to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in health and behavior to support care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.

What You'll Do

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.

• Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

What You Bring

• A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we’ll provide the training.
