Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle and clean record.
• Ability to pass state and federal background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines including hygiene, grooming, meals, and light housekeeping.
• Support community outings, activities, social events, and medical appointments.
• Teach independent life skills like money management and self-advocacy.
• Administer medications as prescribed and follow ISPs.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to help them live fulfilling, independent lives. You’ll assist with daily routines, help build essential life skills, and support community inclusion while serving as a trusted mentor and advocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assist individuals with daily routines, including personal hygiene, grooming, meal planning, cooking, and light housekeeping.
• Community Integration: Accompany and support individuals on community outings, recreational activities, social events, and medical appointments.
• Skill Building: Teach and encourage independent life skills such as money management, social interaction, and self-advocacy.
• Health & Safety: Administer medications as prescribed, monitor overall health and well-being, and follow individualized support plans (ISPs).
• Documentation: Keep accurate, daily logs of progress, daily activities, and incident reports in accordance with state guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, direct support, or human services preferred (will train the right candidate).
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass state and federal background screenings.
