Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities and community outings. You will help with meals, hygiene, errands, and accompanying individuals to appointments and activities.

The role offers day, evening, and overnight shifts with paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth and training. Prior experience is a plus, but training is provided to motivated applicants.

• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.
• Accompany individuals on community outings to appointments, errands, or social activities.
• Track and document changes in health and behavior to support care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll be a trusted presence in the lives of those we serve. Whether you’re helping with day-to-day tasks or supporting a new life skill, you’ll play a meaningful role in someone’s journey toward greater independence.

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.
• Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
• A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we’ll provide the training.
