Job summary
Alliance Adult Care Services in Monroeville, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time shifts. You will provide hands-on care, assist with daily activities, and help clients with intellectual disabilities in a compassionate team setting.
We offer training, competitive pay, and a supportive work environment. Shifts include weekday, weekend, day and night options to fit various schedules.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Criminal clearance within 1 year.
- Reliable transportation and PA driver's license preferred; insured vehicle.
- Must complete Agency required training and maintain 24 hours/year of training.
- Willing to work at various locations with individuals with disabilities.
- Physical ability for one-person transfers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- TB test and results within 1 year; CPR/AED certification within 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on care and assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
- Facilitate recreational and social activities.
- Assist with transportation to appointments and outings.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress and communicate with the care team.
- Collaborate with family and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
- Be a dependable companion and advocate to maximize independence.

$17 - $22Hourly Wage
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Criminal Clearance requirement less than 1 year old.
- Properly insured vehicle and a valid license to drive in the state of PA (preferred) Reliable transportation is a MUST.
- Candidates must be able and willing to complete Agency required training, maintain 24 hours of training per calendar year as required by Agency and Licensing standards.
- Candidates must be able and willing to work at various locations with individuals with various disabilities/diagnosis.
- Candidate must be physically able to complete one person transfers.
- Candidate must have good interpersonal and organizational skills and adequate written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Exam with TB test and results less than 1 year old.
- CPR/AED Certification less than 1 year old.
