Community Services Group is hiring Direct Care Worker positions across our Adult ASD and IDD services in Pennsylvania. The Direct Support Professional helps adults with developmental disabilities live more independently in residential or community settings, assisting with daily living, routines, and skill-building.

We offer a 2-week orientation, full-time shifts including 3rd shift with weekends, mileage reimbursement for orientation travel, and competitive pay starting at $17/hour with

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with individuals to promote emotional and physical well-being in residential or community settings.
• Assist adults in developing life skills such as cooking, housekeeping, money management and personal hygiene.
• Support individuals' preferences and promote independence and community integration.
• Document activities accurately in electronic health records and collaborate with families and agencies.
• Provide support for medical appointments, follow health care recommendations, and respond to emergencies during shifts.

Hiring Immediately, no experience necessary!The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a caregiver that supports adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in either a residential or community based setting while maintaining sensitivity to the rights and dignity of the individual. The DSP in a residential setting is responsible for assisting individuals to live a self-directed life, assisting with activities of daily living, implementing individual programming, and responsible for the routine operation of the home. The DSP in a community program is responsible for developing and facilitating individualized programs of functional, social, and daily living skills instruction to promote independence, interdependence, and community integration. This instruction may occur in group situations and/or is individually scheduled, and it can be implemented in the person’s home setting, day services setting, and/or community settings. The DSP reports directly to the Program Supervisor.This position is a part of our Adult Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Services and Adult Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services.Full-Time schedules - 3rd shift with weekend availability needed.PRN/Zero scheduled hours schedule - with weekend availability needed.CSG’s Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD/ASD) Services is excited to offer a 2 week paid orientation for this position. Orientation includes the necessary foundational training needed before providing services in the programs and sets you up for a successful career at CSG. Orientation is held in-person at our Mountville, Williamsport, and Bethlehem offices.
