Job summary

New Horizons Rehabilitation, Inc. in Batesville, IN is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Dept. 209) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their personal goals.

You will help with daily living activities, household tasks, grooming and community participation, and you will complete required training including First Aid/CPR. This is full-time employment with 12-hour shifts and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older
• Valid Driver’s License
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification
• Drug Test and TB test required
• Background report and driving record required

Responsibilities

• In-Home Support – Community Living: assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals.
• Assist clients with household management tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning and decorating.
• Provide support for physical needs including grooming or eating.
• Support participation in events, hobbies, and recreational activities within the community.

New Horizons is looking for a direct support professional employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals.

Direct Support Professional employees may need to assist clients with household management tasks (such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning and decorating), physical needs (such as grooming or eating), or community needs (participating in events, hobbies, recreational activities).
