Job summary

New Horizons, Inc. is seeking a passionate Day Program Instructor in Glendale, CA to help individuals with special needs develop essential life skills. This part-time role requires hands-on instruction and support, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.

No prior experience is required as training is available, and candidates must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid California Driver's License. Benefits include paid sick leave and eligibility for part-time benefits.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands‑on instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various life skills areas.

Rate: $21.00-$21.50

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am - 4pm (30 - 32 hours a week)

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Armenian is a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Driving required. Must be willing to drive an 8‑passenger van.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid California Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
• Legally driving for at least 3 years in the United States.
• Must successfully pass all pre‑employment requirements, including background check, drug screening, and physical.
• Experience with special needs / developmental disabilities is a plus.
