The Arc of Bristol County in Taunton, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30am–3:30pm) within the Day Habilitation department, offering opportunities to assist with daily living activities and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 18 years of age
• First Aid/CPR certification
• TB screening and testing
• Physical including transportation/transfer addendum
• Safe driving record, current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to pass criminal background checks

Responsabilités

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support clients in developing and achieving personal goals.
• Encourage community involvement and social interaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports regarding client progress and incidents.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for clients.
• Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required
• At least 18 years of age
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Completion of TB screening and testing
• Completion of Physical including transportation/transfer addendum
• Safe driving record, current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background checks
