Job summary

Mosaic is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Illinois to assist individuals in developing daily living skills and independence. You will guide and support residents as they learn, grow and discover new activities in a caring, supervised setting.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable and good communicators who can manage time well and work as part of a team. Training is provided, and this is a role that makes a real impact on people’s lives.

Qualifications

• Desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. No experience needed. We provide thorough training.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required, where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling and squatting.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of important daily living skills and activities, creating an environment for learning and growth.
• Help people identify and achieve personal goals to live their best life.
• Monitor the comfort and safety of the people served, ensuring medical, nutritional and personal care needs are met.
• Provide emotional support and assist with housekeeping, meal prep and laundry.
