Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Vacaville, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting health, safety and daily living skills in a 6AM-2PM or 2PM-10PM weekend schedule. This full-time role includes hands-on client advocacy and routine development.

You’ll complete DSP training within 12 months, maintain required certifications, and participate in a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Promote the health, safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Advocate to improve overall quality of life for clients.
• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients per Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing as needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans when necessary.

Education
