Duet Direct Support Professional in Cass/Sarpy County is a full-time role providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities. You’ll empower clients to participate in the community and support daily living activities.

Responsibilities include community engagement, transportation, documentation, and building strong client relationships. We offer comprehensive training and strong benefits with a casual dress code and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Own a vehicle with insurance.
• Pass background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
• Clear and effective communication with staff and clients.
• Basic computer functions and email skills.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, walk, sit, stand, climb, push, carry, lift, and grasp.

Hours: 40 per week. Full-time, flexible schedule (Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends).

Job Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) works under the supervision of a Manager or Supervisor, providing direct care and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in all settings. Emphasis is on empowering clients to make decisions and participate in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Community engagement – help clients participate in chosen community events.
• Transportation – drive clients to and from community events and appointments.
• Empowerment – jointly complete assessments and follow programs to achieve desired goals.
• Medication and documentation – administer medications and complete daily documentation accurately and timely.
• Relationship building – develop strong relationships with clients.
• Activities of Daily Living – assist with cooking, cleaning, toileting, bathing, meal planning, grocery shopping, budgeting, laundry, watching movies, playing games, walking, crafting, exploring, and other ADLs to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 19 years of age, High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing with a fairly clean driving record.
• Own a vehicle with insurance.
• Pass background check, drug screen, and pre‑employment physical (including 70‑pound lift).
• Clear and effective communication with staff and clients.
• Basic computer functions and email skills.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, walk, sit, stand, climb, push, carry, lift, and grasp.
