Job summary

Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking a Float Direct Support Professional to assist adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in community settings across the Twin Cities/West Metro area.

This part-time role runs Monday–Friday during daytime hours, about 7 hours per day. You will provide substitute DSP coverage, offer job coaching, help individuals meet job expectations, and support daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Reliable personal vehicle required to travel to multiple work sites.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 21–50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills.

If you answered yes, then this Direct Support Professional (DSP) role is for you! Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking a Float DSP to support adults who have developmental and intellectual disabilities working at community businesses. Float DSP’s provide substitute support, filling in for staff who are off for the day.

This is a part-time role working Monday-Friday, daytime hours between 8 AM-4 PM. Shifts average 7 hours a day. 30-35 hours per week. No nights, no weekends!

• Support people who have disabilities working at community businesses, assisting individuals to be successful on the job!
• Provide job coaching support, helping individuals with problem solving, decision making, on-the-job safety, and meeting their job expectations
• Support individuals to develop skills, achieve goals and advocate for themselves
• Occasional support at day programs, supporting recreation and leisure activities

Reliable Personal Vehicle REQUIRED

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour depending on experience

Minimum Requirements

• Reliable personal vehicle required so that you are able to get to work sites easily. This position is not suited for public transportation users
• Ability to travel between locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided
• Must be comfortable working at different locations and environments throughout the week (i.e. commercial kitchen, hospital, retail setting). Working location/environment is determined by where clients are employed. All locations are within the Twin Cities/West Metro area
• Multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
• Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
• Minimum age requirement is 18 years
• Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds
• Ability and willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living
• Ability or willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills
