Job summary

HCRS (Health Care & Rehabilitation Services of Southeastern Vermont) is looking for a Direct Support Professional in Brattleboro, VT. The role involves using creativity and caregiving skills to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals.

With a pay range of $20-$23.43 per hour, this position offers a $750 sign-on bonus, along with paid time off, including 4 weeks of vacation, 12 sick days, and 9 holidays annually. Ideal candidates will have a strong positive attitude and related experience, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Direct Support Professional

Compensation: Pay: $20-$23.4332 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $750. Paid time off: Starting with 4 weeks (pro‑rated) plus 12 sick days and 9 holidays per year.

Responsibilities: Use your creativity, caregiving and people skills to support individuals living with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and growing independence.

Qualifications

• Flexibility, positive attitude, strong organizational and customer service skills
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills related to serving this population (e.g., education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service)
• Desire to be part of an energetic team
• Ability to collaborate with persons served, their families, and other important people in their life, and colleagues in a team environment
• A valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
• A high school diploma or GED; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
