Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for activities of daily living (ADLs) and daily living tasks.
• Assist with community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Support clients in learning new skills using adaptive tools.
• Monitor health and safety while offering a supportive environment.
• Maintain documentation and scheduling; communicate with the Abound Health team and families.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $15.40-$19/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus – Concord, NC

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $15.40/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
