Job summary

Firefly in Nevada, MO seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You’ll support independence, build skills, and help clients participate in community activities.

No experience is required as paid training is provided; a compassionate heart and reliable teamwork are essential for daily success in this meaningful role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities.
• Help individuals access community resources and participate in social activities.
• Provide transportation for appointments, shopping, and outings.
• Teach independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money management.
• Assist with daily living needs, including personal care and hygiene.
• Document client progress and communicate with families and team members.
• Follow each client’s ISP and participate in team meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WhatYou’llDo in This Position:

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
