Job summary

Skill Creations is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Goldsboro, NC. Duties include one-to-one or group care in day programs or community settings, helping with personal care, behavior support, and basic skill-building.

The role may involve driving a van and requires a valid driver’s license, with scheduled hours typically Monday through Friday during DP open hours (9am–5pm).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prompt and regular attendance for assigned work schedule.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Basic computer skills for e-mail, electronic training modules and recording data.
• Ability to meet the individual client specific needs.
• Driving responsibilities include potential van driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or group care in day program or community.
• Assist with personal care and behavior support.
• Administer medications as needed per plan.
• Provide educational opportunities in communication and recreation/leisure.
• Support independence and life skills.
• Work in a flexible schedule within DP open hours (9am–5pm).
