Job summary

Indera is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional in Solvay, NY to provide 1:1 support to a 26-year-old male with developmental disabilities.

The role is Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with potential for additional hours. Starting pay is $17.50/hour and increases with experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.

• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Responsibilities

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Solvay, NY (CA – CA)

A 26-year-old male in the Solvay area is looking for a Direct Support professional to support him with activities of daily living and getting out in the community. He enjoys going for walks in nice weather. He likes animated tv shows and toys. He enjoys visiting the zoo and The Wild to see animals. The ideal candidate is patient, creative and engaging. The ideal candidate must also be willing to provide personal care when needed and be willing to learn how to use a Hoyer lift.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: 9:00am to 3:00pm Saturdays and Sundays

Starting pay: Starting pay is $17.50/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.
