Vista Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for overnight shifts in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin. You will provide care and oversight to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe, clean overnight environment and assisting with evening routines and morning preparation.

The role includes overnight safety, documentation in EHR, medication administration, light housekeeping, and meal prep.

Qualifications

• Age & Education: Minimum 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid and CPI preferred; ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clear driving record if driving company vehicles.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with mobility and transfers

Responsibilities

• Overnight Safety & Care: Maintain oversight during night hours and respond to awakenings or emergencies.
• Routine Support: Assist with evening wind-down, bedtime routines, and morning preparations.
• Documentation & EHR: Complete shift logs, overnight observations, and incident reports in EHR.
• Medication Administration: Verify and administer medications per company policies.
• Household Maintenance: Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)-ASLEEP

Location: Prairie Du Chien, Wi

Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly ($15.00/hr active hours from 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM | $ 9.00/hr sleep hours from 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM )

Job Summary

Provides overnight care, support, and oversight for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting . Ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable overnight environment while assisting with evening routines, morning preparation, and potential overnight needs in alignment with each individual’s service and support plans . Key Responsibilities

• Overnight Safety & Care: Maintain physical oversight during night hours, monitor individual well-being, and respond promptly to night awakenings, behavioral needs, or emergencies .
• Routine Support: Assist individuals with evening wind-down, bedtime routines, personal hygiene, and morning preparations .
• Documentation & EHR: Complete required shift logs, overnight observations, and incident reports in the company electronic health records (EHR) before shift end .
• Medication Administration: Verify and administer evening or early morning medications in compliance with company policies and nursing delegation standards .
• Household Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep as needed .

Qualifications & Requirements

• Age & Education: Minimum 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED .
• Certifications: Ability to complete state and county required certifications within 90 days of hire (CPR/First Aid and CPI preferred) .
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required if driving company vehicles .

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals of varying needs and diagnoses (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or health challenges
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Flexible availability, including weekends, and holidays
