Job summary

3MS Services LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, individualized care to individuals with developmental disabilities and other needs. You will assist with daily living activities, medication administration, and documentation.

Role emphasizes de-escalation, empowerment through participation in social activities, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A valid driver's license and HIPAA familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications or education in social work, nursing, or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and the ability to implement them effectively.
• A valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and insurance to travel to client homes or community events.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed, and work physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor with commitment to providing care.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
