Job summary

Valley Behavioral Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities. You’ll help individuals grow independence, build skills, and participate in center and community activities with person-centered support.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, fun and engaging experiences, and alignment with personal goals. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education requirement: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Certifications: CPR certification (post hire if needed); Valley de-escalation certification (as required).

Responsibilities

  • Understand each individual's strengths, interests, and aspirations, while working with families to create meaningful goals for growth.
  • Use creativity, encouragement, and hands-on coaching to teach life skills, social skills, and workplace readiness.
  • Teach and encourage job readiness and workplace skills through hands-on learning, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, mealtime support, and building independent self-care routines.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support and positive outcomes.

Pay:

Range starts at $17.00/hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

  • Quarterly Bonus Opportunity: Eligible employees receive quarterly bonuses based on program service delivery
Schedule:

Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing job coaching skills to adult clients with disabilities
  • Driving positions require a minimum age of 21 and a current driver’s license
