DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL A, RESIDENTIAL - CHARLOTTESVILLE (FULL TIME)

This position is a FLSA non-exempt role serving as a Direct Support Professional I in a residential program for adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include maintaining safe conditions, providing training, supervision, assistance services, and documenting activities as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a human service field preferred.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Personal automobile insurance for business use if applicable.
• Ability to respond to emergencies, perform restraints, navigate stairs, and assist with wheelchair transfers and personal care tasks, including lifting.

Position Details

Location: Region Ten Community Services Board, 500 Old Lynchburg Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903.

Pay Grade: 7, starting at $16.54/hour.

Schedule: Varies, flexible shifts including day, evening, overnight, and weekends.
