Job summary

NEEDS Center is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Day Program in Hyannis. You will assist adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, supporting daily routines and skill-building in a therapeutic, engaging environment.

No experience is required as training is provided. The role offers a $3,250 sign-on bonus for full-time hires and pays $21–$22 per hour, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, in Hyannis MA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not necessary.
• Empathy for people with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support adults with autism in daily routines.
• Help develop daily living skills (grooming, crafts, dressing, cleaning, toileting).
• Assist with clinical, educational and vocational programs.

The NEEDS Center is an organization dedicated to providing support services to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible.

We currently have openings for Direct Support Professionals at our Day Program in Hyannis who will assist and support the adults in our care. With compassion, creativity, and a commitment to personalized care, you'll engage in activities that promote skill-building and enhance overall quality of life.

Pay: $21-$22 per hour

No experience necessary—and training is provided!

Hours for the job: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities for the job include:

• Assisting and supporting adults with autism in their daily routines.
• Supporting individuals in developing daily living skills, which may include grooming, arts & crafts, dressing, cleaning, and toileting.
• Help with clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes planning and helping with recreational, educational, and social activities to engage individuals and enhance their quality of life

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not necessary)
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Empathy for people with developmental disabilities
• *You must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record*
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
